Medical Insurance
Health Insurance is designed to provide protection for you and your dependents in the event that you require medical care. Remember that you can help to keep your plan costs low. Although you are not required to see a network provider, your expenses will be less when you seek care within the network. Most importantly, make sure you understand your plan so that you can use your medical benefits wisely.
For April 1, 2018, there are two network options to choose from:

Current Sanford Open Network

New TRUE Network

Find In-Network Providers or Facilities: Select Sanford TRUE Network

TRUE Network available to employees living in Brown, Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties

Only Sanford providers are available with this network option. No out-of-network coverage unless it’s a travel emergency or with a Physician referral and prior authorization.
Dental Insurance
Dental Coverage is designed to provide protection to you and/or your family in the event that you require dental services during the year. Your plan is designed to encourage regular visits to your dentist, which is essential to maintaining oral health, and to provide coverage for basic diagnostic and preventive dental needs.
For April 1, 2018, Dental coverage is changing from Delta Dental to MetLife, with a decrease in your premium.
Vision Insurance
The plan provides reimbursement for eye exam, lenses, frames, contact lenses, and LASIK coverage. Employees may purchase coverage for spouse and/or children.
For April 1, 2018, Vision coverage is changing from Assurant/Sun Life to MetLife, with a decrease in your premium.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Save money on your healthcare and/or dependent day care expenses with a Flexible Spending Account.

Term Life/AD&D Insurance
Life insurance provides financial security for the people who depend on you. Your beneficiaries will receive a lump sum payment if you die while employed by Hefty Seed.
New Benefit for 2018! You may purchase life insurance for yourself and your dependents.
Disability Insurance
Disability Insurance helps to replace a portion of your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury.
Short Term Disability
For April 1, 2018, Short Term Disability coverage is changing from Allstate to MetLife.
Long Term Disability
New Benefit for 2018! Long Term Disability insurance replaces a portion of your income during an extended period of a disabling illness or accident.
Accident Insurance
Accident insurance helps pay for covered accidents while you're on the road to recovery
Met Life Accident Insurance coverage provides a lump sum benefit based on the type of injury (or covered incident) you sustain or the type of treatment you need.

Critical Illness Insurance
